Hi I am a fifty-something IT Consultant working for a Telecomms company. I live and work in the county of Shropshire in the United Kingdom.

This blog is about sharing things that I find noteworthy, interesting and thought provoking. I will try not to put anything too negative or whining in the blog – if I do bite me!

My interests, in no particular order are: music (cool jazz, lounge, pop), photography, history and visual art.

I’ve been interested in all things computing since the early 1980’s when I cut my teeth on the Sinclair ZX81, moving onto the Sinclair Spectrum, Atari ST, CP/M, Unix, Windows 3.1 to Windows XP. Though I still use a Windows PC for work, for personal use I have become a Mac devotee since August 2007.
