The floppy disk at the grand old age of 36 is deceased; at least in the UK.
PC World, Britain’s largest computer and peripherals retailer, has announced that it will no longer stock floppy disks. The 3.5″ was introduced in 1983, sales peaked in 1998 when two billion disks were sold in the UK.
Is anybody out there still using them?
